Kristen's Law...
Kristen's Act is now Kristen's Law (Public Law #106-468). Kristen’s Law helped make possible the formation of the National Center for Missing Adults (NCMA), based in Phoenix, Arizona. Federal funding has been approved (initially $1 million annually) and is being allocated to NCMA to be used to equip this organization with the necessary resources and technology to search for missing adults, age 18 and over, who are classified by law enforcement as at-risk/endangered. It is our hope as Kristen’s parents that the allocations for NCMA will incrementally increase in value on an annual basis as NCMA reaches out to assist families with missing adult loved ones.
Kristen's Law became a reality in large part because of the many petitions and letters of support that were sent to our Senators and Congressmen urging that the law be passed. Without your support, we would not have been successful in lobbying our Congressmen and Senators in Washington, DC. We thank you for taking a stand on behalf of Kristen Modafferi and Kristen's Law.
