I saw the story about Kristen's dissapearance in Reader's Digest and I realized she is currently about my age. I truely hope she is found. I could not imagine the pain her family must be feeling. I hope the best for all of you and Kristen.

I have never been so close to a family I have never met. I felt all your family's pain when I have seen the episode with Kristen on TV. As I am sure you have heard a million times, you have my sincere hope, sympathy, and optimism. May god be on your side on this. I couldn't possibly imagine the hurt and anticipation that you may feel. I am so sorry. I have prayed for you everynight since I have seen her story. I will continue I promise. I hope all is well and again, may god bless you and your family.

I saw the Missing show last night. I just had to write. I'm so sorry you have not found Kristen as of now. As a mother whom has lost 2 children to terrible accidents. I understand how your heart feels. I am Praying for her and your family. I'm so far away to know how to help. But I do know God has helped me deal with life also. I just wish I had a feeling that she was alive. But that is way I am writing. I get feeling sometimes I can't explain. And I have the feeling she is with my sons and your Loved ones whom have passed. To conferm this I suggest you find out how to reach Montal, Cathy Brown, or John Edwards. I know you don't want to think of her this way! But sometimes we have to think of reality. Please to help easy your mind. Try this avenue. If I'm wronge I will be so Happy! But I had to write, as the feeling just pushed me to write you. Even after going to bed last night. I woke this morning. And was told to write you. I know that sounds far feched. But since my Oldest son died last year in a car accident. I have a closer conction with these feeling, That I am still trying to figure out. I'm not trying to upset yuo either. I'm just trying to ease your hearts and minds. It's just a suggestion. God Bless you All. I Pray I'm wrong. God Love You all! T~T~F~N, Tina, Palmer, Alaska

I cannot conveive of the pain of not knowing where your child is. My wife and I have two adult children, and, when I read your article in Readers' Digest, I wanted to know the latest. I suspect that many well-wishers have sought to give you encouragement from our Lord and Savior and His Word. I simply shall offer a prayer for you at church tonite that you may experience some small measures of comfort. Please do what you can to keep your marriage strong - you need each other. I went to Providence and South Charlotte with Kristen, and she remains in my prayers. I think about her everyday and check the site daily for any new info. As far fetched as it sounds, has anyone ever considered speaking to a psyhic like Sylvia Browne? I have seen her on the Montel Williams show and I have often wondered if it might be worth a try. I know it sounds crazy, but you never know. Just a thought from someone who cares, god bless you all and I pray that who ever might know something comes forward.

To the Mod's, I have been in touch with Mr. Mahon recently via email, and have been told by him what an honest help it for you to receive letters from people just saying, "your daughter has not been forgotten". Well I am hear to tell you that your daughter is more then a memory to people who did not even know her. (Mr. Mahon is a perfect example) We are all over the country and world praying for you and the rest of her family and friends every night that she is found and brought back home to you. You have my deepest regards and if there was something I could do to ease your hearts and minds, I would have done it already. Peace and Love.

I have been at Morgan State two years now and faculty and students alike still ask me about Kristen and the status of the search. I put up some fliers on campus shortly after I started work here and have one in my office so I feel like I am doing my part-my part to keep Kristen in view to all. Mr. and Mrs. Modafferi please keep the faith alive as I have for you and the rest of your daughters for Kristen's safe return home. May you have a blessed Easter.

I just signed the guestbook a couple days ago but I had to write again because something incredible happened just yesterday. As I wrote before, I have been very involved in Kristen's story, I go to this site and the www.findkristen.com site, almost daily. I real all of Dennis' comments and insights, as well. My car had to be serviced yesterday and I took it in. I was waiting in the service station, going over the day, thinking about Kristen and a few other children's cases that peeked my interest from the NCMEC website. I decided to focus on something else so I picked up a magazine. I'm leafing through it and all of a sudden I see Kristen's story. It was the Reader's Digest. Out of nowhere, the December 2003 copy was in my hands and I saw her face and story. It was no coincidence and I came straight home and told my fiance who also thought that it was very strange. What are the chances of it still being there at the very moment I was thinking about her. It was unbelieveable to me and gave me chills. Just reminding her parents that it's out there still and circulating. It was very touching for me to see it in print, as I have read it on Dennis Mahon's site often. I was amazed. God bless your family. Allison

I don't know where to begin. I think about Kristen every single day and I don't even know her. I put a banner on the bottom of my e-mails and send it out in every e-mail I write. I visit the websites so often to see if there is any more information. I was out in San Francisco in February with work and I found myself looking around for her. I'm just a normal 27 year old girl from a NJ. I'm not sure why this has such an impact on me. I just know that I can't and haven't been able to get her out of my mind. I just don't understand how no one knows anything and no one saw anything. Someone must have and I'm sure the information you are looking for will come out...hopefully soon. She seems like a very nice girl, someone who would definitely be a friend of mine, maybe that's why it's on my mind constantly. I'm sure that as time has gone by the story has lost some of the public's attention but just so her parents know, I'm aware of her and her situation and I still talk about her to people. I put her banner on my e-mail so that people will ask questions and maybe spread the word. If there is anything more I can do, please let me know. Allison

Ever since I first heard of Kristen's disappearance in 1997, I've thought of your family often. With the recent Readers Digest article and news of various missing persons, I've thought of Kristen and your family even more. I grew up in Charlotte, lived in Providence Plantation, and attended St. Matthew's Parish. I am Lauren's age and attended Elementary School, confirmation classes, and CCD classes with her. Also, I think my mom was a room-mother with Debbie at McKee Elementary. I transferred to the Catholic school system in the 4th grade and stopped going to school with her then. However, I always remembered Lauren and noticed your family in church. Your family was such a presence and always stood out because of your four beautiful girls. I now attend Florida State University but my home will always be Charlotte and St. Matthews will always be my church. My prayers are constantly with you and especially Kristen. I haved shared her story with many in hopes to make people more aware of her and the dangers that society can hold for any of us. I pray that she comes home soon. Sincerely, Moira

While vacationing in San Francisco in the Summer of 1999, I received a fyer about Kristen. The picture looked very familiar so I immediately called the number on the fyer to contact Kristen's parents. They were also in San Francisco at that time looking for Kristen. I met with Kristen's parents and sisters at the San Francisco Public Library to inform them that Kristen's picture on the flyer looked very much like my classmate in Sign Language class in Northern California. The class was in the evening and it met only once a week. I remember she told me she found a new job at the Veterans' Memorial Hospital in Yountville. Her height, looks, smiles and dimples were very much like Kristen's but she had a different name. I really feel very sad that Kristen is still missing. I will always pray that she will be found soon. I learned about a holy man from my hometown who is in the process of beatification. This holy man was a priest and I attended many of his masses. In my prayers, I will beg him for a miracle that Kristen will be found soon. May God always be with the Modafferi family. Sincerely, Mercy

It always frustrates me to hear about so many people just disappearing off the face of the earth without even the slightest trace for them to be found. I am amazed at how strong your family seems to be during all of this and for so long. I can not even fathom the thought of something ever happening to my child. I guess it is a work of God and I have faith that you will find her and you will find out what happened to her and you will be able to rest. God Bless your family and Kristen.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kristen's family. I lived in Charlotte (from 1991-2002) during the time of Kristen's disappearance and was very saddened to hear of her disappearance back in 1997. I was watching a show called MISSING last night and saw an update on Kristen's story and it brought back all of the emotions of her disappearance. We have since to moved to California and it profoundly saddens me that your family has not found Kristen. I will keep all of you and Kristen in my prayers and pray that you will find Kristen very soon.

Might I suggest the book "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" by Lynn Grabhorn. Ms. Grabhorn's use of "feelings" to solve life's questions both big and small is astounding! Essentially we are attractors of good and bad feelings so hence if we feel something will happen it will. I urge you to check the book out from the library and give it a read.

Recently I read the article on Kristen in the December 2003 copy of Reader's Digest. I feel sorry that I had never heard any of this in the news up until now. I am 22 years old and do not have children yet, but I am concerned about this issue. It made me cry after I read some of these postings in the guestbook and the article. I have been praying for Kristen and all of her family. After the good turn out with the Elizabeth Smart case, it gives hope. Hang in there, everybody is thinking and praying for you all! God Bless.

The story of Kristen's disappearace in this month's (December 2003) Reader's Digest sends chills up my spine. I, too, was kidnapped--from my OWN BED, in MY PARENTS' HOUSE in Miami, Fla, on the night of Friday, December 1, 1967--by a total stranger and savage brute who dragged me two blocks from my home and viciously raped and sodomized me! How on earth I ever got away from that despicable scum I'll never know. I am grateful just to BE ALIVE! (and, no, the creep was NEVER CAUGHT AND PUNISHED, either!) I am ABSOLUTELY APPALLED at what happened to your lovely daughter Kristen! I certainly hope to God nothing happened to her in all this time and trust that she will be restored to you soon. I just read the article in RD and had to write. I can't imagine the pain you feel, and I am so sorry. I believe some of us are put on this earth to change the world. Whether it's through music, art, politics, religion or teaching our children. Some of these people live long lives like Mother Theresa. Some lives are cut short like Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Lennon. These people had something to say and do and did it in their lifetime. Some pay the ultimate price in order to change the world, like Jesus. I truly believe that Kristen was a gift to you and the world. You raised her to be a wonderful woman then let her go into the world. With her disappearance came tragedy, but also change in the form of the new adult database. Had she not disappeared this would not be law. Through your tragedy you were able to find a positive way to change the world, and the impact on the world will be immeasurable in the lives that are saved and thus changed. There is a bigger picture here that I believe is bigger than any of us, and when I read the article I knew that Kristen was put on this earth as your precious daugher and also a gift to the world. Thank you for bringing her into it. Peace and love this holiday season, to your family.

I was a classmate of Kristen's at Providence High School as well a parishoner of St. Matthew's Parish. I will never forget the first announcement for prayers at mass that June day after she went missing. I always made a point to hug the Modafferi's when I saw them at mass. My older sister was a classmate of Allison's since the days of Carmel Junior High! The thoughts of the Modafferi family and Kristen's safe return are never far from my thoughts and are always in my prayers. God bless and have a happy holiday season.

During this time of year holidays and all, I hope that you and your family will keep the spirit of christmas alive. This is the hardest time of the year for many people who have lost loved ones, I lost my father this august, and am very saddened that he was not able to share the birth of my third and last child in september. I miss him so much. And this holiday season has been hard. But God has given me the strength that I need to carry on day by day, and I know that he has done so for you as well. I will keep your family in my prayers, that one day you will have closure. That has to be so heart wrenching. And I will make sure that I cherish the lives of my children every day, for so many people take life for granted, if only they knew. God bless you and your family. In his Love.... I recently read your story in the December issue of Reader's Digest. While I can not say I know what you are going through I can simply put myself in your shoes and think about my precious 17 year old son. I want you to know that I will think of Kristen each and every day, offering a small prayer for both herself and your beautiful family until the day that she comes home. God Bless you.

July 3, 2003, our precious daughter, Tammy was brutally and viciously murdered. Yet we still have the peace of knowing where she is now. I can't even begin to imagine what your family is enduring with the uncertainty of not knowing. I don't have any words to ease the pain in your hearts, we don't even know how to stop our own pain, and I don't think there are words to help. I'm not sure that time is going to do it, either, she will always be missed and there will always be a great big hole in our hearts, as I'm sure there is in yours. No one knows the pain until they experience it for themselves, and that's a fate I wouldn't wish on anyone. I just want you to know that my family and I DO CARE about your family. Hopefully, this will have a wonderful ending and Kristen will be found alive to be reunited with her family.

I just read the article about Kristen in RD. Her face looked familiar to me and I recalled a young woman I had met through some relatives this past summer. She too had been from San Fran. I became curious and quickly researched this young woman. Predictably, she turned out to be just another young girl who looked like Kristen. My point is that anyone who believes that they have encountered a young woman who resembles Kristen or another missing person really needs to make a strong effort to check them out. Stop and look. Hey, someone recognized Elizabeth Smart. We all have to be vigilant and work together to help to find these children. My family is praying for a safe return of your daughter. WE are always looking. God Bless.

I recently read the article in the December 2003 issue of Reader's Digest concerning Kristen's disappearance. Every mother that reads this article could not help but feel touched and haunted by your loss. I too have always said that not knowing would be the most difficult. Please know that you and your family will be in my prayers daily. I know that St. Anthony, through his supplication to God in His Infinite Mercy, will help to find the answers to your daughter's disappearance. I have asked all of my family and friends to help pray and look for Kristen as well.

I could not imagine what it must be like to not know where my daughter is. I read the article on Kristen in the December issue of Reader's Digest, and the Lord put a burden on my heart to pray for this young, beautiful girl. I will pray everyday for her safe return; I will tell as many people as I can to keep her in their prayers. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways ackowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.(Proverbs 3:5,6-KJV version)

My Goodness, What does one say at this point to Kristens family? This taking a human being away from their lives as they know it, the freedom to make a choice to do as they wish on their own, without fear from a "Captive" subhuman, is without a doubt the most sadistic kind of sickness! Who or what gives someone the right to do this??????? They must start out torturing little kittens, then decide, well now let me see, is this what they do? Contemplate where they could get some twisted evil thrill at next? Well, Tera Smith vanished from our town, now Heather Carpenter, California is becoming the capital of some very sick, evil crimes and law enforcement has their hands tied behind their backs folks. We need to change the laws so that more revenue is applied towards Amber Allerts and other fast methods of locating someone that's been abducted. It is such a cruel thing to put someone through........these people that do this, have mothers, gramas, aunts, would they want to see their female family members put through HELL! Dear family of Kristens, I am deeply sorry your daughter has not come back to you yet. She will always be waiting for you to bring her home. With Regards, Petie

I saw your story today on morning television. My heart breaks for you and your family. I am a mother of three, ages 18 to 30. I pray each day for my loved ones safety and I will pray each day for your Kristen, too. Her name is on my daily prayer list starting today. I place her in the Lord's hands, and you also, in His loving care. I often read Psalm 91 in the Bible. I have often thought of it as Psalm 911, as a cry for help, strength, and comfort. I often insert the name of someone I am concerned about as I read it. I offer that to you, and wish I could do so much more. God Bless You and Yours, Linda

It's very sad about the disappearance of your daughter. I hope one day you find out the truth of Kristen's whereabouts. I saw the Primetime edition tonight "in the shadow of Laci Peterson" and it made me really sad that your family has to go through this. I am only 25 miles away from Modesto, where Laci lived and I understand where everyone is coming from with the publicity issue. It isn't fair, and all you can do is be strong and be there for each other. One day you will have peace. God bless you!

I am the mother of a missing child..my firstborn daughter, Heather Danyelle Teague was dragged into the woods from a crowded beach and in broad daylight as a wealthy businessman watched thru a telescope from across the river. Heather's car, her notebook, cigarettes, lounge chair, shorts and shoes were left near the water's edge. Heather's bathing suit top fell to the ground as a man with a pistol wrapped Heather's hair around his wrist and lifted her from her safe place. A farmer filming vehicles causing crop damage says that he purposely filmed Heather's car and accidentally filmed a Bronco. Five days later, the driver of the Bronco committed suicide. His widow pled the fifth at a grand jury hearing. they took me to court for harassment. we are into the 8th year now. august 26...i still have many unanswered questions. we still do not have our heather home. http://www.whereisheather.us pray for us. i pray for your Kristen too. Every word in your vocabulary is instantly changed and rearranged when the words 'abduction' and kidnapped become a part of your life. NOthing is more cruel than to not know what is happening to your child. we, as, decent human beings, must pay attention to who is next door. we must make a stand and not be afraid to get involved. this is the most unmerciful crime that there could ever be. A mother should not lie down at night and not know where her baby is. pray for the ones that know where heather is and where kristen is and pray for every mother's child that isn't home tonight. sarah teague 547 s. main madisonville, ky. 42431 270-824-8343

Interesting story concerning Amy Bradley on AMW.com. The following is information from a witness who wants to remain anonymous. She and her husband saw something unusual and reported it to the FBI and Amy Bradley's family. On April 18, 2003, the witness was in San Francisco with her husband on Pier 39, not far from the Alcatraz tours. The couple stopped to listen to a street band, joining about 20 other people who were gathered around the musicians. The witness noticed a woman, who looked somewhat familiar, surrounded by two men. The witness concentrated on the woman's face and realized the woman looked like Amy Bradley, who was profiled on America's Most Wanted. According to the witness, the two men talked and looked at the witness. Then, the balding red-haired man gave the woman some change to tip the band. The men forced the woman away from the crowd. As they were walking away, the witness said the woman looked back and gave a pleading look. The trio disappeared quickly from the crowd. In June 2003, the witness met with the FBI and a sketch artist, and together they made composite sketches of the two men. The FBI says the two men are wanted for questioning and have not been charged with any crime. The woman seen by the witness may or may not have been Amy Bradley.

I check this website often hoping for good news and it reminds me that my problems are so little compared to having a missing child. My prayer is for God's will to be done and somehow, someway, Kristen comes home to her family soon. I posted a message in Nov. of 2000 saying that I know Allison. I'm curious as to how she is doing now. If it's possible, maybe you could email me an update? Thank you and God bless you.

Have the police explored the idea, that somehow Kristen became unknowingly involved w/ Jon and Jill......and that maybe the "Blonde-haired" women who refuses to come forward is really Jill Lampo.......wigs and hair dye are easy to come by.....I believe it was Jill walking w/ Kristen that fateful day in the mall....I also believe she knows where your precious daughter is.....If Kristen was really in Nicaragua, why didnt she call her parents? What if she knew something about Jon and Jill, and they threatened her..maybe they told her to get out of the country...maybe they made her leave....Time is running out for Jon and Jill...Jill if your innocent in all of this, and you werent involved in Kristen's disappearence, why won't you tell authorities where Kristen is??? If she is still alive, she needs to come home.....her family deserves to have her home...they miss her....and in the case she is not alive, her parents need closure, and Kristen deserves to be laid to rest, in a proper and respectful way. This case saddens me b/c there are ppl who know what happened, and they are so selfish to not come forward....in the end, they will get there's....WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND........and it will come back to bite you in the a**, 3 times worse....Jon and Jill...you have produced some very negative Karma.....I feel sorry for both of you when you leave this world..you will be punished for your wrongs...you should both be banished, and HEXED....

May god give hope, strength, peace and love in your heart. This is something that should not happen, sadly we know that we live in a world where the unknown leaves us in limbo. FIND PEACE and all else will come into place. Believe that where ever you daughter is, she ok. Please continue to investigate. More people need to care, that is all the GOOD that we can do. So let's DO IT!!!

I sincerely hope that your missing precious one finds her way home, it makes me sad to see that so many young people especially women go missing every year, I'm currently researching unsolved crimes and so on and it's unbelieveable what I read but my aim is to have the violent crimes and stalking laws in Australia made stricter and have much bigger sentences given to those who commit these types of crime. Again I sincerely hope Kristen is safe wherever she may be May Peace Be With You and Your Family
