Atleast 3 times a week there are several missing persons pages that I have bookmarked on my computer that I visit to see if I recognize anyone who is missing. Today is the 1st time that I visited the Families of Missing Loved Ones site, and I am in the process of looking at all of the missing loved ones on that site and reading their/their families stories. Some friends and family members of mine think that I am "weird" for constantly checking on these sites.....I do it because if I see and recognize a missing person as some one that I have seen here in my area, I want to help. One of many problems that exist is that not enough people want to take the time to help and to get involved. I know that this is only a small way that I am helping, but I would hope for the same action if someone that I know and love would go missing. So....I continue to pray that your daughter will soon be reunited with you, her loving family. I personally know that the Good Lord answers all of our prayers, even when we don't always get the response/answers that we want. I pray that soon you will find peace and know that you are thought of and loved by many, even if the "many" have not met you face to face.

I wish the website gave more information about things Kristen likes and where she likely would be working. Then perhaps people could look more intelligently for her. I pray for Kristen and the family, and I do hope she safely returns to her family soon. I learned about Kristen while reading over the Laci Peterson web site.

My heart goes out to the family. I am a retired police officer. I was reading these sites because of the Laci Peterson dissappearance. I have to admit the media does add a lot of thought about connecting Scott Peterson to Kristen Smart. It is rather uncanny that Kristen M. has some of the same characteristics as Laci. It is also very strange how many girls that have shown up missing from the same area. I hope and pray the family will get answers soon.

Hi BoB! My Mom speaks to your Mom every so often. I pray for Kristen and for your entire family. My 12 year old daughter was doing a book report & the book was about a missing teenager. Part of the assignment was to add supplementary info, so I suggested that Allyson add a section about Kristen. This is a low profile way to spread the word about Kristen and to educate Allyson's classmates. Wishing you & your family the blessing of peace this Christmas, Janie

Is it fear? Heck old Jon "Scumbag" Onuma can still show up at her front door with a gun regardless. Get with the program Jill. Wake up and stop being such a chicken sh--!

"John," you damn coward. You are guilty. Give the Modaferri family a sense of closure, you maggot. Come forth and accept the consequences. As for the two women involved, you will rot in hell with "John" if you do not come forward. You may think you've gotten away with everything, but you shall burn in eternal hell for not coming forth. Your redemption will only come if you admit your crimes and let the Modaferri family get on with their lives, though that will be difficult, since you cowardly maggots took the most precious possession of their lives away from them. You all three disgust me. Eternal damnation is what you are guaranteed...unless you confess.

I have also kept track of other families with stories such as yours. Please contact me if you would like to know some of those stories. I still remember the first time I crossed paths with Kristen; it was in the fifth grade and I had just moved to Charlotte. Scared of acclimating myself with new places and people, it was Kristen who greeted me at the first meeting of my new troop in the Girl Scouts. I look back on my life growing up in Charlotte and playing on the church basketball team with Kristen, marching in the band with her and remember seeing her work at Wolfman Pizza when I would pick up my little brother after his shift. Eventhough Kristen and I were not close friends, I will never forget the energy and humor she brought to any situation, especially in concert band where much was often needed. We graduated from Providence High School the same year in 1996 and on that hot June day I am reminded that this was the last time I was in the same assembly as Kristen, and it saddens me so to think that she is not a young vivacious working professional as I am now anticipating life and building hopes, dreams and a carrer. Kristen does not escpae my thougts and prayers for one day. She, Mr. and Mrs. Modafferi and her sisters will remain in my prayers forever.

Dear Modaferris-thanks for sending the update via e-mail. It's awesome to read about the efforts of Dennis Mahon. Dennis is a truly dedicated human being and may his efforts be blessed. Also ask God to give Jill Lampo the strength to be more forthcoming about her knowledge of Kristen. It's too bad a network couldn't have a Summer mini-series entitled "Missing People" and devote some time to Kristen, Kristin, Amy Bradley, etc. Network Anchors chastise so-called big business about being concerned with the bottom line, but they should look in the mirror because they are just as concerned, if not more, about ratings aka Numbers. Dang hypocrites. Take care, Bill

The Lord knows what happened to Kristen and who is involved. He will let it be know or not i his own time. He knows we cannot question at all or see His whole purpose. Just Trust Him, He is all we have in time of need or sorrow. You will see Kristen again, please believe that. I do. I know it is not easy for you but remember her as you saw her last. Keep the faith and certainly the hope. I will be praying for you like a lot of other folk are doing. I know that cause I been through the guess book and read many of the comments folk have made. While surfing the web today, I can across your site and I was deeply saddened. Although I did not know your daughter nor had ever even as much as seen a picture of her until today, I began to cry. I have three children of my own and I have no idea how I would go on if I were ever in your shoes. To Kristens mother, may God give you strength as you endure this pain. Please keep this site updated so all of the people whose hearts you have touched can hopefully one day rejoyce at the news that you have found your daughter safe and sound.

Dear Modaferri Family: I'm not sure if you remember me or not, but I do know that I will never forget Kristen. :) We graduated from Providence High School in 1996, and I had the priviledge of spending time with her in the classroom as well as on the track as part of the cross country team. The most distinguishing feature about Kristen that pops into my mind whenever I think of her is her bright smile encased in the most beautiful dimples I have ever seen! I can remember her leading our cross country team in a little prayer before each race, before we all approached the starting line. I remember her laugh, her sense of humor, and her optimism. She's the kind of person that everyone wants to know and be friends with-her personality would truly hook you bait, line and sinker! I was horrified to hear the news that she vanished without a trace in 1997-and I have been haunted by that news every since. I just stumbled upon your webpage as of recent, maybe because I didn't want to confront the feelings I have housed in my heart for so long, maybe because I didn't want to be reminded that people's loved ones disappear every day. But at the same time I find much inspiration and hope. I've known for a long time that I wanted to go into a career in medicine, but I now I think I hear my calling. I know that in the end, God knows all and the guilty will be punished, but I would like to help provide justice and closure for the families of missing individuals. I aspire to be a forensic pathologist, using scientific data as my weapon, Kristen as my inspiration, and God for my strength. My heart goes out to all of you that know and love Kristen, as well as to all those who continue to search for answers. Warm wishes and best of luck-Kara Sands :)

I have read about your missing daughter and am saddened that there is no closure to your pain. I feel that investi-gators need to re-evaluate the woman Kristen was last seen with, as well as apply significant pressure on the two woman that were questioned. "John" is probably guilty and circumstantial evidence must be found. I hope that you re-ceive some closure to this case soon, and I pray that it does not remain an unsolved crime. Anyone with information about this case should contact authorities. And "John," you bastard, be a man and admit what you have done. That goes for the two woman involved in Kristen's disappearance as well. Be humane and accept the consequences to the foolish choices you made.

My prayers continue to go out to you and Kristen. I went to Providence and was a friend of Kristen's. She was such a witty, original, and talented girl, and I admired her so much. I am still as shocked and dismayed about her disappearance as I was five years ago. I regret not contacting you and signing this guestbook sooner, but I wanted to let you know that she will never be forgotten by those who knew her. I have had dreams about her periodically over the years, and she is always beautiful, happy and peaceful. I hope my dreams have meaning, and I pray that you will find out what happened to her. God bless you.

To Kristen's family: Know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am a former New Milford resident; moved to Illinois 16 years ago. I knew Kristen and your family because I taught at Little People Nursery School in New Milford....and I continue to get the newspaper from N.M. I was so concerned when the information of Kristen's disappearance appeared in the paper, but I hadn't heard any more news in a long time. Last night I watched the MSNBC program. I plan to send Kristen's web site to all my friends throughout the country to have a watchful eye out. Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless! Diane

Hi,I'm writing you to first say I'm sorry to hear that you have not yet found your daughter. But our family is going through the same thing. My sister Niqui has been missing since July 22, 2001. I know that not near as long as your family has been suffering, but we still feel your pain. Please if we could ask you how we could get the same results that your family has been giving it would be a great help. Our situation are a little different, our sister came up missing on a Sunday right after church. She had started to do her laundry when we were told by some witnesses that she was being harrassed by some Hispanic's who seem to have followed her to go get change then she went to our mothers to tell her and had left her clothes there. My mother told her to go back and get her things and finish them there, but that would be the last time we would see her! So if we could get some help we would be very apprecited. Our sister also has a disease called (Graves Disease) she has been with out it for nearly a year. Please write us back thank you and God Bless and you are in our prayers.

Dear Mom, Dad and sisters: Our daughter, Stacy, was a student at NCSU. She was in the mechanical engineering program. She died SUDDENLY on Jan 8, 1997 after being diagnosed only six days earlier. Jan 2, 1997, with leukemia. When we, later that year, heard of your plight, we were still in wide open horrific pain of our own. We prayed for you, for Kristen, and we still do. We have always felt close to you although you never knew. Now it has taken five years to let you know, but there is not a week that goes by that I do not feel some of your pain and cry and pray for you. You know that we will have all our answers in heaven. I pray the Lord bands those of us who share this type of pain together and we gain strength from just knowing we have advocates who can understand at least some of our pain. God bless you, if we never meet in this world, we will surely be happy together in the next. Love, Mary Walker

Even though I did not know Kristen personally, her disappearance deeply sadden and concerned the entire community of Charlotte, NC (of which I was a resident at the time). Now my 18 year old son is seriously contemplating attending a college in California and for some strange reason, thoughts of Kristen came to mind, I visited this site just hoping that she had safely returned home. My heart and prayers still go out to Kristen's family. If my Son does go to college in California, I'll have to trust my Father God to keep him safe and out of harm's way.

I just learned of Kristen through a story in the Penn State student newspaper. I am so sorry that you are going through this anguish. I hope you find her soon. She looks like a beautiful and smart daughter. May God bless you and your family.

Debbie and Bob, I just wanted to let you know that just because we have moved away from you and no longer have the personal contact that we once did does not mean that Kristen (or you and your family)have been forgotten by us. We continue to pray for you and Kristen...you are all in our thoughts and prayers and will remain so. May God's peace be with you.
