I want to let you know I am thinking of you during this time. I heard this morning on the radio that there is a new lead in the case concerning Kristen. I pray they are able to bring closure to Kristen's disappearance. I have known about the case since the time of her missing but I felt compelled to write in the guestbook today to maybe bring more support to finding Kristen and the many others that are missing. I pray she will be found soon.

I'm sure the authorities haven't missed the "Blonde Accomplice" idea and now that the man's "Blonde Daughter" has been arrested, there is another theory to check out. At least I hope the PD or FBI are checking into the possible connection. People are strange, but the problem is that they are proud to be strange - a sign of the times. My thoughts and prayers are with the Modafferi family. It's high time we find Kristen and bring her home.

Kristen seems to be a bright light in a dim world who has been taken into its darkness. I will say a prayer for her and hope that her loss is only a temporary one and will be back in mind, body and spirit of your lives. I have heard of her many times (on tv and the net and so on) and Every time wish for closure of this event for your family. More power to you and I will light a candle for her return. Bob, Debbie and Family-My thoughts are also with you all and yesterday I posted Kristen's flyer at the Alexandria Campus of the Northern Virginia Community College. It is located about 5-6 miles from D.C. and there are quite a few people that have the opportunity to view the flyer between classes and during breaks. I used different colored paper-bright yellow, green, etc. so as to enhance the visibility. I say a silent prayer everytime I post a flyer for a quick resolution to your crisis. Take good care.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. My son was missing once for three days. Thank God he called home. He was twenty two at the time and was in a state of depression after our other son Tony died, he was twenty four and died from liver failure due to medication he was taking for a nervous breakdown. Rex is home now after just leaving without telling anybody. He just drove off one day after work and after we put him on the national missing persons hotline he just happened to call home exhausted and nearly dead from driving and walking from West Virginia to Los Vegas Nevada. We talked him into going to a nearby hotel and calling us back. My husband and son in law flew out there immediately and drove him on into California where he was headed. He was in bad shape, he couldn't walk his feet and legs were swollen from walking and hitchiking through the desert after his truck broke down. He is still having a hard time and talks about finding a way to go overseas and meet Jimmy Page. We realize now he has some other problems as well as depression. I do hope and pray for your daughter to come home. I'll be praying for you!

Dear Modafferi's--Kristen and your family remain in my prayers. I am thankful for the opportunity to know Kristen and develop a friendship with her. I think of her often. I still have the penny that she gave me at Dairy Queen on our 10th grade trip to a math competition. I hope to experience her cheerfulness, intelligence, and care again someday. Please let me know of anything I can do to help further the search. Love, Emily Stoots

We need your help to solve this case. Kristen's disappearance centers around Union Square and the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Someone saw her in the company of a person or persons who are responsible for her fate. Call us with any tip or piece of information you may have -- regardless. What may seem insignificant to you, may be the lead that solves Kristen's case. Our focus is on three areas; [1] Kristen had a chance encounter with a suspect somewhere between the financial district and Ocean Beach, [2] Kristen arranged a meeting with someone as a result of a "Personal Ad" communication, [3] There may be an internet connection which we have not been able to discover. SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING. It's time for Kristen to go home; give us a call. Sgt. Bradley/Ofc. Mahanay Oakland, CA Police Dept. 510.238.3641

To anyone with knowledge of Kristen Modafferi beyond June 23, 1997. Recently a brutal triple slaying at the Starbucks in Georgetown (a section of the nation's capital)was solved after 2 years. Law enforcement in D.C. steadily and patiently worked this case 24/7, but were stymied until the golden tip came in and the criminal was immediately arrested. The brave young woman tipster had this knowledge for about a year, but in fear for her life did not come forward. A re-broadcast of AMW and a heart to heart talk with her mom convinced her that she could be the next victim because the shooter had actually told her and he could have gotten paranoid. I ask you to see yourself in that tipster's shoes with Kristen's abductor potentially abducting you or worse. God will forgive you for being afraid. Put yourself in Kristen's place and empathize. The next move is yours. We all make choices everyday - make the right one today. Thank you for your attention.

Our son Bryan Dylan Nisenfeld disappeared from Roger Williams Univesrity after receiving threatening and harassing phone calls for some time. The university ignored these threats and left Bryan unreported as missing to his family and the police. For us, unfortunately the search is over and it did not turn out as we expect it to, or hoped it would. Our family prays fro your daughter and all the other missing adults. I am behind this effort 100% and will try to attend. Contact Senator Torricelli and Congressman Andrews, Senators Chafee and Reed hwho are support Bryan's Law to make univesrities report students when they are reported missing. We hope your daughter's university was more hlpful than Bryan's. God bless you and your family. I pray for the safe return of your daughter.

Dear Kristen's family, I would like to start by saying my prayers are with all of you. My sister Cyndi has been missing since 11-14-98 and I know the hell you are going threw. It is the hardest thing in the world to live with and what is even harder is the fact that we get no support from authorities or press due to the ages of most of these girls. I am starting a foundation on be half of Cyndi and going to do all I can so that if a loved one is missing regardless of age they will get the same response as a child. I hope and pray for your daughters safe return as well as my baby sister who I miss so much, and to all who are missing young and old. Please remember to keep the faith along with a positive attitude. If there is anything I can do please do not hestitate call. I will continue to search and search for Cyndi all who are missing. Dear Modafferi Family, Have you tried posting a free message on Yahoo? They have city Yahoos that connect to at least 8 different surrounding communities. Get at least 2 people to do this for you so they can cover more cities. This is because one person is limited to a certain amount of posts (70 or so). You can even post to travel destinations around the world. Also try http://www.miningco.com as another free posting site. It's called the mining company. "i found God in myself/ and i loved her/ i loved her fiercely." I wasn't sure how to voice what I feel here until I remembered her own words. I read about Kristen in the Chatlotte Observer. I was drawn to the article - the photos of your family touched my heart. I am so sorry about all that has happened to all of you, I can only imagine what is must be like ... for one's child to just vanish. You all are in my prayers and I pray that God will provide courage and strength to all of you. Claim the comfort that comes in the knowledge the God is with us always. Jennifer

To the Modaferris: I used to work with Kristen at Wolfman Pizza when I live in Charlotte. It was a shock to hear of her kidnapping last June on the news. The other day I was thinking of her and wondering if she had been found, then I saw an episode of Maury Povich and learned that she is still missing. Kristen is a sweet person and I enjoyed working with her. I hope she is found soon. I have a child of my own and I would do anything to keep her safe. My prayers are with you.

I have a neice that has been missing since May, 1993. She was 18 years old and most agencies, tv shows, or whoever my sister tried to contact said they could do nothing because she is an adult. Her 24th birthday was last Friday and all the hurt, uncertainty, and worrying and wishing is still there. Her name is Trinity Robinson. I don't know how my sister gets along everyday knowing her daughter has just disappeared off the face of the earth. Its so hard. I tried to download the petition page but it came on my disk as an unreadable file. Please let us know what we can do to add Trinity to the list of missing young adults. Thanks, Jan

Dear Kristen's Family: I was actually linked to your page from the Christina Williams' homepage. I was truly saddened to hear about Kristen. I hope that your family will soon find peace with this. I trust that God will protect her, even though we can't. I am outraged by the disappearance of these young women. More has to be done to protect our children and one another from the cruelty of some people. I will pray for your family and Kristen. Wishing your family the peace and joy of this holiday season. May God's hands be on your family now and always. My Love, Lori

I heard about Kristen's disappearance through reading about Christina Williams' disappearance in California, and my heart goes out to both of your families. As a college freshman myself, it frightens me to think that such a thing can happen in today's society... your family is in my prayers and I know the good Lord is watching over you and your beloved daughter.

The summer when Kristen vanished I was in Monterey CA. at the Spindrift Inn. After two days of sightseeing one morning I decided to read the morning paper that was left at my door, I was so interested in Job seeking that I blew right by the front page, knowing all the time that I had just seen my last name and a picture of a girl that looked like me. After I returned to NJ I read the Record a town paper and saw the picture again, I am constantly looking at people with our simalarities hoping for her recovery everyday. Kristen is in our prayers, her family in our hearts.

Everyday as I drive through providence Plantation to pick up my friend I think of you guys. I was just talking to someone the other day about how strong I think your family is. Now that I'm not dancing, I hardly ever see Lauren. I miss talking to you and I hope that you will call me if you see this message - or e-mail me. I saw the article in the paper this morning and my heart just went out to you guys. God hears your prayers and feels your greif. You may not understand it now, but God has all of this in his plan and he does not mean to cause you this pain. My prayers go out to your family. Remain strong and never give up. Love - ashley

I read the article this morning in the paper about the possible suspect in Kristen's disappearance. It's strange that I was riding through your neighborhood yesterday thinking of her and you and then this article is written about her. I can't imagine how you carry on not knowing what happened to Kristen. I guess you have no choice. I wish you peace some day when this case is solved. God be with you and your family in these terrible times.

I am so saddened by the stories and you and your family are in my thoughts now and always. I cannot imagine the pain that you are going through but I empathise with you and I hope that you all can find peace. ANGELS. Angels are the gaurdians of hope and wonder, the keepers of magic and dreams. Whenever there is love, an angel is flying by. Your gaurdian angel knows you inside and out and loves you just the way you are. Angels keep it simple and always travel light. Remember to leave space in your relaltionships so the angels have room to play. Your gaurdian angel helps you find a place to go. Whenever you feel lonely, a special angel drops in for tea. Angels are with you every step of the way and help you soar with amazing grace. After all, we are angels in training; all we have to do is spread our wings and fly. Love to you all........Sarah jayne (18)

I am sorry for the grief that your family is going though and I hope that Kristen returns to your family safe and unharmed. I recently moved to Concord to go to school at UNC-Charlotte and I feel like I have somewhat disappeared from my family(which I was pretty close to). I don't hardly talk to my family let alone see them like I once did. I can only image the pain you are feeling and the loneliness that Kristen is feeling without you. I am very lonely without my family, not being able to talk to them and just spend a little time with them. Your family and Kristen are in my thoughts and I pray for her safe return to you.

Your family, including Kristen, are frequently on my mind and in my prayers. A neighbor of mine in Sardis Cove received yellow ribbons from a friend at Matthews Methodist Church and shared them with neighbors. We all have them tied in front of our homes as a constant reminder of the pain, hope and love of your family. I have 2 sisters whom I am very close to, as well as 2 daughters whom I simply cherish. Please keep up the strength and courage to search for Kristen. I feel certain you will find answers and she will return home. My family will continue to pray for all of you!

I have been following your story of "The Search for Kristen" since the fall, and I just read the CLT Observer on Sunday, I think that it is great that you keep your search active. I thought that when the story first aired months ago that it would be a short lived one, I prayed that you would find Kristen, as I am sure you did. I was shocked to learn that the case is ongoing. I truly believe that by you keeping us (everyone) informed that the search will end, and that Kristen will come home safely. I hope that your story does make it to Unsolved Mysteries, I believe that shows such as this help to find the missing. I am sure that the computer and the Net are a "God" Send for you! I hate to ask questions in the comment space, but I am so curious about who? Kristen was associating with? Also, did she go to the beach alone or with a companion? I think of your family often and pray that you will find peace. I was very interested in seeing the rest of the family, the Observer carried a great story! All my love and prayers to you Leisa Johnson

I too pray for Kristen's safe return. If it were me, I would consider following up on one of those junk mail ads where you can get millions of email addresses for $100 or so. Maybe 2 or 3 such offers from different sources too. Make a short, direct appeal for anyone seeing the girl in the attached picture to send you info, even anonymously. Mention the reward. List phone and email address too. Good luck.

I have heard and followed Kristen's disappearance since the beginning. I am a graduate of NC State and also have three sisters, one also a State grad, and two at UNC Chapel Hill. I feel for your family because I could not imagine such a tragedy in my own. We seem to take advantage of the daily distance, but a missing sister/daughter is too much of a distance away from a loved one. I hope that my prayers are heard and one day soon she will be returned to you. I hope that you will one day soon be reunited again.

To The Friends and Family of Kristen: The thoughts and prayers of myself, and my friends and family are with you in these upsetting times, I just now heard about your daughter's disappearance and I am very interested in helping to find her just as I am with Jessica Cain. I am very sorry that a beautiful and inteligent young girl like your daughter with a bright future ahead of her would have her life put on hold because of someone's uncaring outlooks, I can not find the words to ease the pain that you are going through, but I pray every night that your daughter and others like her that are kidnapped or ubducted everyday be returned to their loving families. I will continue to Pray for Kristen and Jessica and others like them each night until they return home to the families and Friends that love them. My thought and prayers are with you. Audra Cole
